Western Fashion Shoot Out

Thanks to John & Ginny from Walnut Tree Films for this great BTS video. Be sure to follow them on YouTube for updates

Everyone knows I love to shoot. In fact, I would prefer to be shooting “something” than doing just about “anything”. It’s so bad, that even on my birthday I prefer to be using my camera to capture life’s moments. So it shouldn’t be a surprise to find out about my little secret. I have a Dream Team. It’s a group of photographers, videographers, models, fashion stylists, MHUA and support people that work together to help each other become better through scheduled shoot-outs. They all believe in our mission of Excite, Educate, and Elevate. As a team, we understand that helping each other ultimately makes make us better.
This is our second shoot-out and we were so fortunate to be hosted by Tammy Hall on her ranch in central Oklahoma. Our group arrived to be greeted by her family, both two-legged and four-legged, being welcomed with open arms and excitement. Tammy and her family were amazing hosts and I can see future workshops being held on her property very soon.

I won’t bore you with all the details, just know that everyone had an incredible time creating images and developing relationships that verify the statement of “Collaboration over Competition” will always serve the purpose of elevation and growth. I would like to thank Melissa Rodwell (Join The Breed and Alice Magazine) for her inspiration and guidance to practice shooting fashion, even if none is around. Don’t wait for something to happen - Go make it happen! You can listen to her candid interview on the FotoFacts Podcast found on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, Spotify.

Here are a few samples and to see the entire gallery, head over to my Flicker gallery. You might have to search others for the other photographers captures on Facebook, Flickr, or Instagram. It’s all a secret after all.
