Riding to Stillwater {PPOk School}

I've been very blessed with the weather lately and even though there are some thunderstorms on the horizon, I decided to take the bike to Stillwater, OK to help with the PPO School. I believe professional photographers should education themselves constantly to keep up with trends, enhance skills and recharge the passion of our craft.  This year I volunteered as a trustee (aka: minion) for the director, Randy Taylor of Taylor Made Photography, a talented and highly respected professional in our industry.  I really learned so much and never realized how much (or long) planning goes into creating a great classroom experience for "students" and staffing with nationally acclaimed  instructors.  I did a lot of running around handing anything from "thermostat issues" to making copies and moving furniture.  In fact, I even made some time to pick up an ice cream cake for a surprise birthday party for Sherry of Sherry Lynch Photography.  The event was held for the second year at Best Western Plus Cimarron Hotel & Suites and the staff was excellent helping with any issue possible.

As for the trip, I was fortunate that the sissy bar bag I ordered from Jafrum arrived Friday before me leaving on Sunday.  I ordered the Leather SB1 and was amazed at the size of this bag that quickly shallowed my weekend gear without trouble.  It attached easily and stayed firm on the bike throughout the whole trip.  My only issue was the buckles (plastic) for the straps that turn the bag into a backpack once off the bike.  I did have lots of weight so I'm betting it wasn't rated for stuff a cramped into it, including a helmet - just in case. LOL

I really enjoyed taking the back roads of Oklahoma from my house in Mustang.  Here are some of the pics from my Instagram feed of the trip and the fun during the school.  Enjoy!
