BMW Adventures start NOW!

Well, this is a BIG surprise!

Terri has been bugging me for a few hours with questions about upgrading our aging stable of bikes in the garage to adventure touring bikes. I was enjoying a much deserved coffee break at Eote in Oklahoma City after a long week, when the last call was simply “Come pick out which BMW you want… NOW!”

It wasn’t long before I pulled into the the parking lot of Eurotek excited to see what options we available. Terri was waiting for me to choose one of the three available models. We already decided to get matching BMW R1200 GS Adventure bikes and the staff was waiting to get the paperwork done. It didn’t take long for me to choose the RED model with a factory lowered seat and new BMW panniers. Terri picked the BLUE R1200 GSA with the Touratec panniers.

Now, you probably already know that I’ve ridden for years across Europe and the USA but Terri just got her license in 2020. She only had about 200 miles in the saddle on my Kawasaki Vulcan 800. This was larger, faster and a different riding style. Terri was apprehensive about the size and power, but I assured her that it’s going to be very stable at speed. Plus, we will be riding more hard roads than cutting dirt tracks, probably a nice 80/20 ratio.
