When we first met Tim and Caree, I was impressed by the overwhelming joy and love in their hearts. No, seriously… each time their eyes locked it was as though the world around them disappeared for a moment. Even with all the joking about the wedding planning, you could see the respect they had for one another. It was a pleasure and honor to be a part of their special day.

New Bricktown Office!

I’ve always wondered about the number of people following my blog. Seriously, I must have MANY spam or useless subscribers just based on the weird email addresses. I probably need to do a mass email and see how many bounce! LOL. In a small tactical move to find who is really following the blog and/or cares about the success of Trawick Images, I am announcing here first our BIG news.

From the title of the post, I’m sure you can guess the surprise. Trawick Images, Inc has acquired space in the historic Mercantile Building in the wonderful Bricktown area of Oklahoma City. While it’s a small space for meeting clients, mentoring photographers or just getting away from the house for a few hours, Terri and I have a place to hang our shingle finally. We have looked at many different locations, but wanted to stay in the downtown area, since many of our shooting locations are in the area, as well as many of our friends and supporters. Speaking of supporters, Gene from CocoFlow has been amazing helping us build brand marketing and allowing us to meet clients and hosting this year’s Worldwide PhotoWalk. And now, we will be in the same building as CocoFlow and hope to continue our successful networking and friendship. Our new address is 100 East Main St, Suite 207, OKC, OK 73104. Phone number will be the same.

It will be a few weeks while we work to remodel and setup and we will update you as soon as possible. Now who is following the blog? Drop a comment or two… and you will get an invite to Opening Night!

Girls’ Night Out at Alfred Angelos

WOW! What a pleasure to hang out with beautiful brides, bridesmaids, and the FABULOUS gowns at Alfred Angelo in Oklahoma City. Terri and I always have a blast chatting with the knowledgeable staff on the latest bridal fashions hitting the mark in real Oklahoma weddings. The “Girls’ Night Out” program is a wonderful chance to come out and have fun trying on dresses and meeting some of the best vendors in the area that strive to make your day the perfect day.

We are honored to be invited again to attend the Alfred Angelo’s “Girl’s Night Out” event on Thursday, July 29th, 2010. Because of prior commitments, we have not seen all friends at Alfred Angelo in a long while. Look for an updated slideshow of the fun events, beautiful brides and fabulous gowns from the evening.

Maddie – Rock Star Day

Maddie, Maddie, Maddie…. Any rose by another name would still smell the same!

Corny, I know.. But Maddie is just plain sweet! This session was so much fun running around everywhere and learning about Justin Boevers (?). Really? She is hooked on this guy on TV.

Of course, I really can’t nag her too much since I had a massive crust for Linda Carter on the Wonder Women series. But then again, I’m showing my age.

Auntie Terah wanted to show Maddie how beautiful she is and how she is growing into a fabulous girl. From the first click of the shutter, Maddie turned on a charm that could melt the coldest heart. What a smile!

Kai & Lauren ~ Sunday Afternoon Love

I just finished editing Kai & Lauren’s G2KU session images. What a blast it was spending time with this couple. We met at their wedding venue Village Baptist Church to scout before the ceremony and I must say .. It’s fabulous! Recently redecorated with awesome vantage points to capture the most amazing wedding. I hope the A/C works for this August wedding ’cause it’s going to be one to be remembered.

Afterwards we ventured to Norman for a few shots with a casual break at Starbucks to fill up on caffeine. Well, I did anyway. They had some fru-fru cold drink fraps something. Then we spend time at Celebration station playing putt-putt. It was so funny watching them act casual, but I could seriously see these two getting into a little “friendly” competition! I think Lauren won, but Kai ~ may~ have let a few strokes slide by.

The afternoon went by so fast between a few shots, many giggles and lots of laughs. Can’t wait for the wedding, but I’m still thinking of a bowling night soon with all my wonderful brides. Their smiles makes my heart leap with joy. I hope we captured a few of those moments.

CocoFlow Shoot Time

We are at our favorite meeting place in the city… CocoFlow! I’m sure everyone is tired of us bragging on this sweet place, but Gene’s crew is awesome and treats everyone like family.
You have not lived well until you’ve had some of the truffles served daily. Gene is a chocolate artisan.

Today is Maddie’s fun shoot and we plan to have fun while creating beautiful images of this lovely girl. Check back for updates!

Thanks to everyone that has been following us! We have been up in the air on how the new website will look and feel. Not to worry the photography and vision will not change.
The new design will be a little bolder and easier to interact with. And we will be changing our wording, contracts and layout to blend with our comfortable and casual personalities.

Along other lines… I plan to blog more from the iPhone! The improved mobile access will make it easier for you to follow the fun times of Trawick Images & Associates!

Back Online!

My blog has been out of commission for a little while and I took some much needed time off, so the posts on here are not very current. Of course, many of you follow me on Twitter and Facebook and realize that even though I’m relaxing… well, I’m still shooting!

Today, I worked through all the big problems on the blog, updated and changed things around. I plan to get to the main website soon, but after three hours of a “quick 20 minutes” upgrade process, I really need to take a break from the computer. I’m sure you can understand.

But the main reason for this post is to remember all the smiles I had a chance to be a part of. I ran across a post from August 2009 of a quick slide show for a vendor table at Alfred Angelo’s “Girl’s Night Out”. I wanted to share it again with you. It doesn’t include all the weddings from the season, but it’s always a blast to relive the smiles, laugher and joy of the moment.

Looking forward to more joy in 2010!
